Litter 9 - the uncertainty of things.
Life in a vacuum, the sadness that weighs on my heart, the fraying rope of man’s life line, his heritage. We, us, the ones that are still here, who have survived the earthquakes and the floods, the bombs and the wars, the plane crashes and the terrorist attacks. We are consumed by the seeping anxiety of the uncertainty of things.
Our backs against the wall, witnessing the forces that have driven our evolution to this point; man conquering man, retaliating against man; imposing ideals, fighting ideals, foresting hope, destructing it through fear. Man over nature, nature over man. Disease spreads through nature, through the food that we eat and the minds that are young and in need.
The final yard towards intolerance, brings the battle against the middle ground, the visions of a unilateral ideology, global ethics, the global economic ideals. Debt relief; famine relief; disaster relief; war relief; culture relief. Where – there – everywhere, we are able to share these experience through the TV.
Six degrees, ever more relevant, as our tracks map the world and form alliances with our enemies’ kin. Survival traces us back to the Neanderthal man, a chimpanzee, a fish; Darwin’s theory ends where the theory begins.
A single ark is all that’s left out at sea.

30.10.05 - Mike Aremu Album Launch
Sunday, still Ramadan, still in Nigeria, a trip to Lagos for the weekend found me, courtesy to my brother at Mike Aremu Album Launch party, the title of the album is 'Unveiled' and it was a revelation.....music to fly to. I'm going to spread the word...afrobeat, jazz, gospel and a guest appearance by Yinka Davies which was so compelling i almost fell of my seat.
I don't know why i was so surprised that this wealth of talent exists in the country...oh why oh why was i so naieve.
