The Long Weekender - Saturday

So to saturday, had to start early to sort out what was going to be one hell of a two days at the Notting Hill Carnival, selling wristbands a friend and i had made to raise money for charity.

But first things first, family.....since i'm stuck in a house with four women, i'm, the refernece point for any manual duties. Which is kinda nice, since i get to eat well. There's nothing like having your mum and sister over to stay. Long gone are those lazy hungry bachelor nghts.

I managed to drag myself to a bbq south of the river, which was fun....damn those kebab sticks were so tasty, i was licking my lips all the way to see the Platinum Pied Pipers at the Jazz Cafe. The set had already started when i arrived...but even so it didn't take long to get into the vibe...it was just one of those head banging performances that just ensures that your body, feet and head are all moving. Tiombe blew me away - she had awesome presence. The show in general was pretty good....especially the encore of Deep Inside was just tooooooo much. I first heard that track nightwalking to the summer boundless cd......it was even better live, with the whole crew going crazy on stage.

I missed ?uestlove, just like i missed Jazzy Jeff....so i'm getting used to missing out on classic dj sets. But i had to rush of to a friends birthday, which i'm glad i did.
